Chandigarh, December 11, 2012: A spokesman of Punjab police today clarified that news item regarding Police force posted in Police Station Chhehrata having been dismissed from the service was factually incorrect.
Meanwhile, ADGP Law and Order Dinkar Gupta today reached Amritsar. He would verify the negligence on the part of Police and would suggest to take suitable departmental action against erring policemen for dereliction of duty.
It may be added that after the killing of ASI Ravinder Pal Singh, SHO Ashwani Kumar has already been dismissed from the service.
